Model Y-IS-750D 230VAC 50HZ

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR ION STICK PERFORMANCE
All Models
1. Continuous recirculation provides the best results.
2. Installations in line are to be at least 10 feet(3m) from the re-circulating pump(s) on the discharge side. Five feet (1.5rn) is sufficient on the suction side of the pump(s).
3. Provisions should be made to control suspended solids from accumulating. Sidestream filtration across a cooling tower offers optimum results. Auxiliary pump for continuous recirculation is recommended for this set-up.
4. Open recirculating systems controlled to maintain cycles of concentration not to exceed the following parameters in the recirculated water:
- 1000 ppm calcium maximum expressed as CaCO3
- 150 ppm silica maximum expressed as SiO2
- Insolubility concentration of calcium sulphate (rare situation).
5. Dedicated electrical source keeping the Ion Stick operating all the time (do not interlock with recirculating pump(s)).
6. Inspect Ion Stick probe at least once per year (more often in open recirculating system).
Clean carefully if necessary.
Model 750
A. For Closed Recirculating Systems:
Each unit will handle up to a maximum system recirculation rate of 1500 USGPM (340 m3 per hour).
B. For Open Recirculating Systems:
Each unit will handle up to a maximum system recirculation rate of 750 USGPM (170 m3per hour) using a water source of moderate hardnessand dissolved solids (ie: 250 ton cooling tower).
Larger systems of up to a maximum 500 ton coolingtower can be treated with a single unit provided it has continuous filtration* and moderate or low contaminants in the water source.
Installation on the discharge side of filtration system is ideal. Alliteratively, the tower sump or collection tank is recommended, Piping installations are limited to within 3 to 6 inch diameters.
*Refer to Technical Manual or contact York Energy Conservation for filtration criteria.
